The Department of Education in the School of Education and Health at CBU invites applications for a tenure-track position(Subject to Budget Approval) in School Health and Well-Being at the rank of Assistant Professor. This position will commence January 1, 2024 (or as soon as possible thereafter).

The successful candidate will have demonstrated knowledge and experience in whole-school approaches to well-being, mindful of cultivating sustainability through collaborative community building practices. Their expertise will enable them to facilitate learning opportunities for educators who wish to employ innovative, holistic, and creative approaches to improve well-being for all involved in school communities.

The candidate will also bring a deep knowledge of culturally responsive approaches to building school communities and their research will be focused on engaging school communities to promote the same. Teaching may be in either undergraduate or graduate programs.

The union affiliation of this position is with the Cape Breton University Faculty Association.

Candidates should have a relevant terminal degree (Ph.D. or Ed.D.). Candidates who are in the later stages of their doctorate may be considered with the successful completion of the doctorate being a condition of employment.
